Troy, NY- Willie Hamples Maple, 78, of Troy, died on Friday March 27, 2015 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany following a brief illness. Willie served his country in the US Air Force from 1954-1960 and was honorably discharged. A man of faith, Willie was a devout catholic and was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh. Survivors include his wife, Paula Maple, his children, Michelle Middleton, Erica Way, Carl Wilkerson and Karen Gamble. Willie was blessed by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles and George Maple and a sister Rachel Marie Rae. Viewing and Funeral Service will be privately held at the Riverview Funeral Home for the family. Private interment with military honors is pending and will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon - Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
