Obituary
WATERFORD –
Shirley M. Silvernail, 79, of Waterford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Shirley was born in Swanton, VT to the late Raymond D. and Mary (Lapan) St. Andrew.
She was employed for ten years with Accent Health, of Troy, NY as a home health aide, retiring in 2000.
Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Ronald J. Silvernail. She is survived by cousins, and also leaves behind to mourn her loss many close friends, as well as her dear cat Bella.
Prayers will be offered at graveside, at 11 o'clock on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford, NY. All are welcomed.
A special thank you to the Hospice Inn staff for their kindness, care and concern for Shirley.
Shirley was known to be very giving to others, especially the ASPCA, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. If you wish to honor her giving nature, please consider a donation to one of the charities that meant so much to Shirley.
