Sharon Ann Baum, 54, of Clifton Park, formerly of Green Island, died Friday evening, November 15, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital following a long battle against breast cancer. Sharon was born in Troy, NY, the daughter of Robert N. "Al" Pettalino and Shirley M. Brooks Pettalino. Sharon graduated from Shaker High School. For several years Sharon was employed by Nemith Motors in Latham. For the past 6 years she was employed by Consumer Directed in Albany as a home health aide. Sharon was known to be an avid crocheter and she also enjoyed trips to the Saratoga Casino as well as Foxwoods. Sharon is survived by her loving parents "Al" and Shirley Pettalino, her cherished children; Nicole Baum Hussey, Jaclyn Baum and Karl Baum, her dearest grandson Nicholas Hussey as well as her two brothers; Steven (Noreen) Pettalino and Gerald "Guy" Pettalino. One niece, Danielle Pettalino and two nephews, Lukas and Liam Pettalino. Sharon is also survived by her companion and best friend for the past 6 years, Timothy Riley. A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday evening (Nov. 22nd) from 6-8PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, Inc. located at 218 2nd Ave.,(corner of 104th St) Troy, NY 12180.
