TROY- Renee Charise "Quasia"Evans-Curtis, 55, passed away into eternal rest after a long battle with cancer on December 31, 2021. She took her last breath surrounded and comforted by her loving husband and family. Renee was born on June 4, 1966, to Lois and Faith Evans and attended school in the Troy City School district, where she graduated in 1984. Renee was previously employed by Healthy Families of Troy but more recently with theDept. of Labor immediately preceding her death. She was a true warrior through her battle and in life and loved helping people. She is survived by her husband,James Curtis, of Troy, her children Jimisha Curtis and Jimyh Evans-Curtis ofTroy, her mother Willesther "Lois" Evans of Valley, AL, her twin brother ReneEvans, of Troy, two sisters April Newbolt and husband Ricky Newbolt, of Valley, AL, Duuna Evans and her Wife Lorri Salmon of Tacoma, WA, and Marcellus Evans(Dusty) of Washington, DC and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held atBethel Baptist Church, 2165 5th Ave., Troy, NY 12180, on January 8, 2022. Visitation hours are 2pm to 3pm with the service immediately following.
