Troy, NY Margaret L. Holland, 87 died on Saturday evening, September 21st at Diamond Hill Nursing & Rehab facility after a long illness. Born in Fort Edward to the late Giddeon and Margaret Dugan Sevrie, she lived most of her life in Lansingburgh. Margaret was employed at Tagsons Paper in Menands, working there for over 20 years until the plants closing. She loved animals and working on jigsaw puzzles. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by a granddaughter Samantha Marie Spaulding. Margaret is survived by her four children: Bill Holland of Troy, Tracy (David) Spaulding of Lansingburgh, Edward J. (Marcie) Holland of Troy and Ann Margaret Holland of Schenectady. She is also survived by a sister, Thelma Higgins as well as 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Memorial Service, celebrating her life, will be conducted on Wednesday, September 25th at 6 pm from the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th St.) Lansingburgh with Deacon Bob Sweeney officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions in Margarets name be made to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
