An accomplished musician, she played the recorder in an early music ensemble. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, she was active in the Adirondack and Mohawk Valley hiking clubs, where she met her second husband, Ronald Neadle (d. 2022). Throughout her life, she cherished a deep friendship with Eleanor (Ele) Wenzell Richardson (d. 2026). Ron and Lois spent many happy summer days on Cape Cod with Ele and her family. She is survived by her children John (Carolyn Jablonski) and Alison; her granddaughter Cola (Ben Solwitz); her great-granddaughter Tamsen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
