JOYCE ANN ZITER Joyce Ann Ziter, 79, of Watervliet, NY passed away peacfully at her home on April 5, 2014. Ms. Ziter, a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill was the widow of Karem Anthony Ziter, the owner of the Appleknocker Fish Fry on Pawling Avenue in Troy, where Ms. Ziter worked for many years until her husband's death. She later was employed as an administrative assistant at Greyhound Bus, Inc. and TempPower Agency in Albany, NY. Ms. Ziter, the daughter of Charles and Ellen Vincent, was born on March 4, 1935 in Watertown, NY. She was predeceased in death by her brothers Francis, Donald and Phillip and survived by her sister Wanda of South Carolina and brothers Randall (Iggy) of Florida and Larry of Texas. She is survived by Robert (Shari) Ziter, Troy; Cary B. Ziter (Joanne), Latham; Cathy Soloyna (Robert), Wynantskill; Kimberly A. Ziter, Albany; and, Connie Ziter, Burden Lake. She also is survived by twelve grandchildren and will be especially missed by her long time friend, Shirley Colarusso. Ms. Ziter greatly enjoyed her trips to Turning Stone Casino, attending church, reading and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
