Joan Patricia (Forette) McKeever passed peacefully from this life on the evening of August 22, 2025 surrounded by her family and her nurses, Chelsea and Jason, during the last days of her life, who provided exceptional care after a gradual decline in health.
Joan was born in Troy, NY on September 28, 1958. She was known for her spicy and direct personality.
She is survived by her siblings, Marcel Forette and Sandra Cox, her children, Nicholas Muscatiello, Jr. and Tina Marie Muscatiello, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was known for pouring her heart into helping raise her grandchildren. She worked throughout the years being a housekeeper and a bus aide. Joan loved making crafts, crocheting, doing word search puzzles and playing Yahtzee.
She now joins in rest with those who have passed before her. Her husband, John (Jack) McKeever, her parents, Joan and Roy Forette, her brothers: David and James Forette, her sisters: Helen Brundige and Laura Forette, her daughter, Rosalie (Muscatiello) Pieck, and her grandson, Narron Pieck.
A Private Graveside Committal will be held for the immediate family with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family of Joan Patricia McKeever, online at: TheRiverviewFuneralHome.com
