Latham Doris J. McCleary, 79, with Jesus on February 10, 2013. Doris was born in Albany, NY, on November 15, 1933 to the late Harold Gavigan and Ruth Waters Gavigan. Doris was a Ballet Dancer through her youth and until she married her husband, Edwin E. McCleary in 1950. She was an artist throughout her lifetime. Doris was a charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Schenectady as well as a congregant of the Latham Community Baptist Church. Doris taught Sunday School in both churches. Her love for children led her to continue her witnessing and teaching about Salvation through Jesus Christ. Doris left behind many believers to carry out the Gospel Message according to Jesus Christ and this is how she would want others to celebrate her life and memory. Besides her husband, her three daughters survive Doris: Bonnie J. Clifford, Lorrie J. McCleary and Kathleen R. McCleary. She was grandmother of: Sara K. McCleary Hayes and Brad L. Clifford. She was great grandmother of: Gabriel, Daniel, Jedediah, Matthias, Canaan and Zachariah Hayes. Her son, Daniel E. McCleary, predeceased Doris. A Memorial will be announced at a later date.
