Dominick Anthony Rizzo II, Alicia Margaret Ruefle, and their beloved daughter, Abigail Lyn Rizzo, will forever be remembered as a family whose love, warmth, and joy touched everyone fortunate enough to know them.
Dominick was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He fought through lupus with determination throughout his life and never allowed it to diminish the love he gave to those around him. Dom loved creating, working with his hands, spending time outdoors, and spending his summers at the Horseshoe Inn in Saratoga. Above all, he loved his children and treasured every adventure and memory they shared.
Alicia was a devoted wife and mother with a heart that seemed to have room for everyone. She attended Sacred Heart and Troy High School and worked at Albany Stratton VA, previously spending time at ARC, where she loved caring for the people she served and considered them family. Alicia was the ultimate team mom, always there for Abby and Dominick, cheering them on and being involved in everything they did. She was there for anyone who needed her and loved without reservation.
Abby was a bright and beautiful soul who had just graduated from School 14 and was beginning sixth grade at Troy Middle School. She loved cheer, musicals, especially Hamilton, music of all kinds, particularly Billie Eilish, and making bead jewelry. Abby had the sweetest smile and brightest personality, and she had a way of making anyone she met laugh and feel loved almost instantly. She adored her mommy and daddy and was always ready for a shopping trip with Mom or an adventure with Dad.
Together, Dom, Alicia, and Abby loved their family trips to Great Escape, Six Flags, and New York City. They created countless memories through their adventures and the simple moments they shared at home. Their love for one another was unmistakable, and that love extended to everyone around them. Alicia and Abby were especially known and loved by everyone they met. Their warmth, kindness, and ability to make people feel loved will remain with everyone who knew them.
They are survived by their son and brother, Dominick Anthony Rizzo III; their parents, Dominick Rizzo Sr., Charlotte Kipp, Gregory Kipp Sr., Anne Marie Rizzo, Tracy Peters, and Frederick Houser III; and their siblings, Ian Kipp, Lisa Kipp, Gregory Kipp Jr., Salvatore Rizzo, Santina Rizzo, Ferron Jackson, Kiersten Farmer, Nicholas Peters, and Tiffany Peters. They also leave behind countless extended family members and friends who loved them dearly and will carry their memories forward.
Three beautiful lives, one extraordinary family, forever loved
